The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped 13.03 points on Sunday, November 24, closing at 2,667.40. It had closed last week with a 31.31-point decline on Thursday.
Last week, the index dropped by 68.35 points, reversing the previous week's gain of 68.60 points.
The daily turnover on the week's first trading day also decreased, totalling around Rs 7.73 billion, compared to around Rs 8.26 billion last Thursday.
Over 15 million shares were traded through 76,418 transactions during the Sunday’s session.
The Sensitive, Float, and Sensitive Float indices also closed in the red, dropping by 0.37 percent, 0.51 percent, and 0.35 percent, respectively.
Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) was the top gainer of the day, with an increase of 9.91 percent in its share price.
Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) and 10 percent Nabil Debenture 2082 (NBLD82) closely followed, with increases of 9.58 percent and 9.01 percent, respectively, in their share prices.
On the contrary, Century Debenture 2088 (CCBD88) became the biggest loser, with its share price decreasing by 7.75 percent.
In terms of turnover, Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) topped the list, followed by NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN), and Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL).
Out of the 13 NEPSE sub-indices, only two ended the day in green. While the Manufacturing and Processing Index gained the highest at 0.68 percent, the Development Bank Index saw the largest decline of 1.63 percent.
