The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which had surged in the first two trading days of the week, dropped by 11.24 points to settle at 2,748.96 points on Tuesday, November 12.
The index had risen by 62.54 points on Sunday and further gained 22.14 points on Monday.
Along with the index, the daily turnover also slipped to around Rs 7.86 billion, compared to around Rs 11.3 billion the previous day.
More than 16 million shares were exchanged through 82,570 transactions in the third trading session of the week.
The Sensitive, Float, and Sensitive Float indices all closed in red, dropping by 0.39 percent, 0.38 percent, and 0.33 percent, respectively.
Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) and Menchhiyam Hydropower Limited (MCHL) were the top gainers, hitting the upper circuit limit. They were closely followed by Best Finance Company Ltd. (BFC) and NLG Insurance Company Ltd. (NLG), each seeing a 9.99 percent increase in their share prices.
On the contrary, Goodwill Finance Limited (GFCL) was the biggest loser of the day, with its share price dropping by 9.36 percent.
However, Goodwill Finance Limited (GFCL) led in the turnover front, followed by Best Finance Company Ltd. (BFC) and Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd. (AKJCL).
Out of the 13 NEPSE sub-indices, only three ended in the green. The Finance Index saw the highest gain of 1.12 percent, while the Others Index recorded the steepest decline of 1.18 percent.
