The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 46.69 points on Tuesday, October 29, to close at 2,692.05 points.
The index had surged 27.41 points the previous day after three consecutive days of decline.
The daily turnover on the third trading day of the week amounted to around Rs 6.12 billion, compared to Rs 5.34 billion the day before. More than 13 million shares were traded across 68,614 transactions in Tuesday's session.
The Sensitive, Float, and Sensitive Float indices ended in the green, rising by 1.76 percent, 1.84 percent, and 1.85 percent, respectively.
Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd. (SAPDBL), Sanima GIC Insurance Limited (SGIC), and Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH) were the top gainers of the day, hitting the upper circuit limit. Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) followed them closely, gaining 9.98 percent.
Conversely, NIFRA Uraj Rinpatra 7%-2085/86 (NIFRAUR85/86) was the biggest loser, with its share price dropping by 1.95 percent.
On the turnover front, Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) led the market, followed by Peoples Hydropower Company Limited (PHCL).
All 13 NEPSE sub-indices ended in the green, with the Non-Life Insurance Index rising the most at 3.60 percent.
