A Summit Air flight en route to Lukla from Kathmandu made an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday morning after experiencing technical issues mid-flight.
According to TIA spokesperson Rinzi Sherpa, the pilot decided to return and make an emergency landing after the aircraft reported technical problems while flying over the Phaplu region.
The plane landed safely at TIA at 7:24 AM. All 19 people on board, including the pilot and crew members, are safe, the TIA Office confirmed.
A technical team is currently working to identify and resolve the issue with the aircraft. -- RSS
