The country is currently experiencing partial impacts of westerly and local winds.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather will remain largely fair today (March 14), with partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hill regions. This afternoon, the hill areas, including Sudurpaschim Province, will see partly to generally cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will have mostly fair weather.

Light snowfall is expected in a few places in the high hills and mountainous regions. Additionally, one or two places in the hill areas may experience light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hill regions, including Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces. Light snowfall is likely at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Over the next 24 hours, light snowfall is expected at isolated locations in the high hills and mountainous regions.

Despite the improvement in weather condition, the Division has advised caution due to the potential impact of weather conditions on daily life, health, road transportation, and aviation. -- RSS
