March 21: Nepali cricket team captain Paras Khadka has been conferred with the title of Youth Icon 2019 during the Kathmandu Youth Conclave 2019 on Tuesday, March 19.

The organisers said that he was felicitated for his contribution to the Nepali sports sector and for inspiring youths.

He was handed cash prize of Rs 100,000 during the event organized jointly by Universal College, New Summit College, Apollo International College, Kathmandu Model College and Himalayan College of Engineering.

Speaking at the function, Khadka said he is just a representative of the entire team, coaches and players.

"We, as a team, could succeed, because we were honest to our game and nation."
