Lifebuoy Celebrates Global Hand Washing Day with a ‘High 5’

October 17: Unilever said its popular soap brand, Lifebuoy, has always been a pioneer for promoting the lifesaving habit of hand washing with soap and helping people adopt daily habits contributing towards it.

Issuing a press statement, Lifebuoy said it has been celebrating Global Hand Washing Day with a lot of enthusiasm amidst different awareness raising programs. As a part of the global occasion this year, it has launched a ‘High5’ Campaign wherein interested participants can share a picture of them giving a ‘High5’ on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #High5forHandwashing and tag it to @lifebuoynepal.

For every High5 photo received, Lifebuoy commits to teach the hand washing behavior to 5 kids, the statement further said. Championing the campaign, the company said renowned actor Rajesh Hamal has urged everyone to upload their ‘high5’ pictures to contribute towards the global cause.

 The brand officials believe that this campaign will be conducted through various mediums and has the potential to benefit scores of people. They added that this particular initiation which champions the cause of making people adopt this simple life-saving habit of hand washing will contribute significantly towards helping a child reach five.
