Malaysian Airlines Adds Kathmandu To Its Network

Malaysia Airlines announced the introduction of yet another route to its network with the commencement of thrice-weekly direct services between Kuala Lumpur and Kathmandu effective from first of September 2012. According to Marco Polo, General Sales Agent of Malaysian Airlines, The airlines has prepared attractive packages to its customers with the commencement of its flight.

“From 1 September 2012, flight MH170 will depart Kuala Lumpur on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:55am to arrive at Kathmandu at 11:30am. The return flight MH171 departs Kathmandu at 12:20pm to arrive at Kuala Lumpur at 7:15pm,” informed, Deepak Tuladhar, Operation Manager, Marco Polo.

According to Tuladhar, the one-way flight charge is Rs 22,731 while the two-way flight will cost Rs 45,619. “Marco Polo Travels in association with Malaysian Travel Agency-MAS Holiday has prepared 2 nights and 3 days holiday packages for both national and international tourists,“ shared Tuladhar. The package includes stay in star rated hotel, sightseeing, transportation facilities for both inbound and outbound tourists.

A two-class configured Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 144 economy class seats and 16 business class seats will be used for the Kuala Lumpur-Kathmandu return service. After the operation of Malaysian airlines, the flow of tourists along with Nepalis seeking employment opportunities will grow certainly, said Tuladhar.
