December 1: Gorkhas Finance has opened a new branch in Birendranagar, Surkhet. Mahendra Lal Rai, chairperson of the finance company, and Prakash Adhikari, chairperson of Surkhet chapter of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly inaugurated the branch amid a function on Thursday, November 30.  The company now has 19 branches and 4 ATM counters.  At present, the company has collected deposits worth Rs 3.53 billion and has extension of loan amounting to Rs 3.15 billion.
