February 21: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has converted its extension counter at Bethari of Mayadevi Rural Municipality into a branch office. Issuing a press statement, the bank said that the counter has been upgraded into a branch office effective from Wednesday, February 21.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, which claimed to have the highest paid-up capital among the development banks of the country, has recorded a deposit portfolio of Rs 25.12 billion and a loan portfolio of Rs 20.93 billion as of the first six months of the current fiscal year.
