May 28: Nepal's sensational cricketer Sandip Lamichhane, who shot to fame after his recent participation in the Indian Premier League, has been awarded by Autoways Pvt Ltd and Pratibha Higher Secondary School. Lamichhane received a cheque of Rs 100,000 amid a function on Sunday, May 27.

Minister for Social Development of Province 4, Nara Devi Pun, handed over the cheque to Lamichhane. On the occasion, Pun expressed that the national talents should be rewarded.

Lamichhane has been honored since he succeeded in making Nepal known to the world through cricket, said Narayan Poudel, managing director of Autoways Pvt Ltd as well as chairman of Pratibha School.
