Chinese Investors Pledge to Invest in Nepal

July 9: Entrepreneurs from Guizhou province of China are willing to invest in Nepal. Zhang Zhao, vice chairman of Federation of Guizhou Chamber of Commerce and Industries was in Kathmandu recently with his twenty member team. The team during their visit with the member of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries in Kathmandu informed about their interest to invest in the country.

The Chinese delegation informed that the team is here to discuss about investing in Nepal.

An eight-member team from Guizhou led by vice chair Zhang had first visited Nepal one month ago. The team then had arrived Nepal to study about the possibility of investing in the country.

FNCCI President Bhawani Rana informed that the members from the two federations had earlier discussed for establishing infrastructure, communication technology, tourism, smart city, city transportation, manpower development and data center in the previous meeting.

Similarly, she informed that the EXIM Bank branch of Guizhou, China is interested to invest in Nepal and Guizhou University is willing to support for the development of education of Nepal.

The visiting members of Guizhou Federation of Commerce and Industries are expert from investment, highway, transport, planning, energy, railway, telecommunication and heating power sectors of China.
