Global IME Bank Achieves New Milestone

July 10: Global IME Bank has achieved a new milestone in branchless banking service after opening its 100th branchless banking point at Baraha Municipality – 5, Kalabanjar of Sunsari district on Monday, July 9.  A 105-year-old senior citizen, Anurupa Bista, a local resident of Kalabanjar and Rabindra Dhakal, head of Remittance and Branchless Banking Point of the bank, jointly inaugurated the 100th branchless banking point. The bank said in a statement that the inauguration of the 100th branchless banking facility was done through the hands of Bista to show its sheer respect and honour to the senior citizens.

Global IME Bank said it had opened its 1st branchless banking point at Badiya Taal Rural Municipality – 6, Mainapokhar of Bardiya distict on Ashad 20, 2069.

Various facilities such as opening fixed deposit and saving account, deposit and withdrawal  of cash to certain limit, fetching information about loan and paying interest, paying utility bills of Dish Home/CDMA/UTL, mobile recharge, etc can be availed by the locals of the Kalabanjar and nearby areas through the branchless banking service of the bank.

Global IME Bank said that the bank within a short period has been able to serve more than 900,000 customers from a network of 129 branches, 132 ATMS, 14 government revenue counters, five extension counters and 100 branchless banking service points.

The bank is also providing inward remittance service from the countries across the globe.
