FNCCI Seeks to Improve Trade Relations with UP

December 26: Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, has pledged his government’s support for upgrading strategic road networks between the two countries. The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh made such commitment to a delegation of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) during a meeting at his office in Lucknow on Monday, December 24.

The 19-member FNCCI delegation led by its president Bhawani Rana met the chief minister in an attempt to improve trade relations as well as to attract investors and for tourism promotion, reads a statement issued by the FNCCI.

Yogi Adityanath reiterated support to Nepal from both the state government and the central government of India and said that the UP government would support to promote Nepalgunj-Kailash pilgrimage.

According to FNCCI, the chief minister stated during the meeting that the UP government would immediately start works to upgrade Gauriphanta and Aligadhawa border trade points.
