Times Energy to Develop 254 MW Budhigandaki Plant

Times Energy Pvt Ltd is set to develop the 254 MW of Budhigandaki hydel project. Chandramani Banskota, Chairman of the company promised to develop the project within six years. He further said that the feasibility study of the project will be completed by September 2013. 
 
The project is being developed with the investment of Indian company named Cyclotron. Banskota said that the foreign investment was invited as the project development was not possible only with the domestic investments. The project is expected to cost Rs 38 billion. He said that the EIA, data collection, geographical survey, construction material survey and hydrological studies of the project has been completed. The power house will be located at Uiya village linked by 5.8 kilometres long tunnel from the reservoir at Jagat village in Gorkha.
