Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at Narchyang in Annapurna Rural Municipality-4, Myagdi, has recorded an unprecedented influx of visitors. During the recent festive season, the base camp saw a surge in domestic tourists.
According to Ten Gurung, a campaigner of the trekking route, around 3,000 visitors have arrived since the beginning of the Dashain holidays.
Gurung noted that both domestic and international tourists have been drawn to the area, with approximately 300 visitors currently staying at the base camp since Wednesday.
This route, leading to the North Base Camp of Annapurna-I (8,091 meters), attracts climbers and nature enthusiasts alike with features such as the picturesque Panchakunda Lake, scenic waterfalls, and rich biodiversity.
To further enhance the visitors’ experience, Annapurna Rural Municipality has implemented a tourism master plan, allocating funds for infrastructure improvements and service upgrades at Annapurna Base Camp. -- RSS
