April 28: Chaudhary Group has started the operation of Tigerland Safari Resort at Chitwan. The new CG resort is located at Jagatpur at the bank of the Rapti river. Expanding the business, CG Holdings run by Arun Chaudhary has brought the safari resort into operation.
The resort has total 35 cottages targeting the domestic and international tourists. Spread across eight bighas of land, the cottages are constructed in an environment-friendly traditional way. 80 percent of total land covered by the resort has been left as jungle. Likewise Nepali tourists are charged Rs 8,000 for two days and one night excluding taxes while international tourists are charged USD160 per person excluding taxes.
Organizing a program in Kathmandu, CG Holdings informed that Rs 300 million was invested in the resort. Speaking at the program, Chairman and Managing Director of CG Holdings, Arun Chaudhary said, “This acquisition is the beginning of our investment in the hospitality business in Nepal, and we will continue to escalate our commitment in the days to come,” adding, “It is our endeavor to bring the guest a true wilderness lodge experience, blended with under stated comfort.” He mentioned that the wilderness lodge experience had placed Nepal at the top of the wild life tourism map 50 years ago.
Beside this, CG Holdings is speeding the construction of Holiday INN 5 Star Hotel in Jhamsikhel, a well facilitated business hotel in Tripureshowre and Wellness Retreat Hotel in Budanilkantha.
