The price of gold, which had dropped by Rs 100 per tola on Sunday, surged by Rs 1,000 per tola on Monday, November 18, in Nepal.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (Fenegosida), fine gold is now being traded at Rs 161,000 per tola (11.66 grams), up from Rs 160,000 the previous day.
The precious yellow metal surged by Rs 100 last Friday, marking the end of a five-day consecutive downturn.
Gold’s record-breaking rally has slowed down in recent weeks amid strengthening dollar following Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.
Earlier on October 31, the price of gold reached an all time high in the domestic market, hitting Rs 171,000 per tola.
Meanwhile, the price of silver also rose by Rs 15 per tola to Rs 1,920 per tola, according to the federation.
