July 24: Nepal's first International franchised TV dance reality show Boogie Woogie Season-1 sponsored by OPPO has come to its final phase.
The show announced its top three contestants Kabita Nepali, Pragati Pun and Saroj Moktan on Friday, July 20. They were chosen as the top three finalists solely on the basis of public votes, OPPO said in a statement. Now, the top three will be competing against each other in the final round for the title with their best dance performances to win the heart of viewers to gain the maximum votes.
"We are feeling very proud as our co-operation with AP1 has been successful to provide Nepal with many young and fresh talents," said Bobby Zhao, CEO of OPPO Nepal, adding, "While sponsoring for the program, our major aim was to provide Nepali young talents a platform to showcase their extraordinary talents. And looking at the overwhelming response and popularity of the young talents, we are really happy that we were able to provide Nepal with an amazing platform to groom young talents here."
The winner of OPPO Boogie Woogie will be getting Rs 2.5 million as first prize. Similarly, the first runner-up will be awarded with Rs 600,000 and the second runner-up with Rs 400,000.
"Previously, we had decided cash prize worth Rs 2.5 million for the winner only but recently our team decided not to send the first and second runner-up empty handed. Therefore, we have announced the cash prizes for all three of them,” said Aleen Shrestha, director of Boogie Woogie Season-1.
"We are really glad that we were able to execute the program up to the mark of international level. We hope all the participants attain a better future with maximum utilization of the platform we provided together with OPPO," he added.
The final will be held on August 4 where the winner will be decided solely on the basis of public votes.
