Kumari Bank Pays Rs 80 million to its Customers under Insurance Scheme

November 27: Kumari Bank Limited has paid insurance amount worth Rs 80 million to 4,500 customers of the bank under the 'Family Protection Savings Account' scheme.

The bank provided the amount in the last four years to its customers through a designated insurance company. The insurance amount was provided for the general check-up, hospital admission and treatment of serious illness and accidental death of customers under the 'Family Protection Savings Account' scheme.

According to the bank, the highest 36 percent of claims under the scheme were settled in Bagmati Province. Similarly, 11 percent and 10 percent claims were settled in Madhesh Province and Gandaki Province respectively and the remaining amount was paid in other provinces. The bank made the highest amount of payment of 54 percent for hospitalization insurance.
