Energy Ministry Demands Rs 15 billion Budget for FY 2074/75

May 28: Ministry of Energy has demanded budget of Rs 15 billion for the upcoming FY 2074/75 equivalent to budget ceiling given by Nepal Planning Commission (NPC). “For now, the budget ceiling given by NPC should be considered the budget demand of the ministry,” said Prabin Raj Aryal, Head of planning department at the ministry.

NPC had given budget ceiling of Rs 15.01 billion to the energy ministry which is Rs 1.81 billion more than the allocated budget of the previous FY. During the previous FY, the ministry received budget of Rs 13.20 billion. Similarly, the budget ceiling for capital expenditure is nine folds more than for the current expenditure. According to it, Rs 9.86 billion has been allocated to capital expenditure.
