May 30: Veteran hotelier and tourism entrepreneur B K Shrestha has passed away at the age of 68. Shrestha who is the Managing Director of Radisson Hotel passed away on Tuesday morning at his residence.

Shrestha who also was the President of Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) from 2014 to 2016 was suffering from lung cancer over the last few months.  He is known for his four decades of contributions towards Nepali hotel and tourism industry. Founder of the Himalayan Travels and Tours, Shrestha is regarded for his role to commercialize the star hotel business in Nepal. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
