Full Moon Bungee Jump in Pokhara

October 5: With an aim of promoting tourism in Pokhara, High Ground Adventures Nepal is organising ‘Full Moon Bungee Jump’ in Hemja on the occasion of Kojagrat Purnima on Thursday, October 5.

This is the fifth edition of bungee jump organized annually during Dashain, informed the organisers.

The event is aimed at attracting internal and foreign tourists visiting Pokhara on the occasion of Dashain.

According to the organisers, adventurous people can even enjoy the jump till late evening.

The company’s chief Dinesh Maharjan informed that the event also aims to promote adventure sports in Nepal.

“Bungee jump during night time has added thrill to the event,” he said.

The Full Moon Bungee Jump is preceded by a musical event. The main event will be held between 7 pm to 11 pm. A maximum of 90 people will be allowed to take the plunge, informed the company. Nepali nationals have to pay Rs 3,500 while foreigners will be charged Rs USD 68 for the jump.

According to Maharjan, more than 25,000 visitors have enjoyed bungee jump in the last four years. The company has been in operation since 2012. The company claimed that it is the first tower bungee jump of Nepal. People have been taking 70 meters plunge on the bank of Myagdi river from a 45 meter long bridge-shaped tower.
