IME and Weizmann Jointly Launch Indo-Nepal Remittance Service

October 10: IME Ltd and Weizmann Impex Service Enterprise Ltd together have announced the launch Indo-Nepal Remittance services. Through this partnership, Nepali migrant workers in India can now easily remit money to Nepal which will be facilitated by Weizmann’s 200 branches and 14,000 plus retail agents across India, reads a joint statement issued by the companies.

The recipients in Nepal can receive the amount through more than 6800 local agents of IME in Nepal. IME said it will provide account deposit facilities to these customers besides cash payment options.

Speaking on the occasion, Executive Chairman of IME Ltd Chandra Prasad Dhakal said, “The start of services between IME and Weizmann will open new doors for Nepali migrant workers in India. Weizmann is a leading player in the retail foreign exchange market while IME is the largest remittance company in Nepal and this new service will help remittance inflow from India facilitate people to send money easily to Nepal. We believe that with this money transfer service corridor in place, it would be highly beneficial to the Nepalis residing in India, to send money to their friends and family in Nepal.”

Speaking on the occasion Sandeep Sharma, business head of Weizmann Impex Service Enterprise Ltd said, “Weizmann is one of the largest companies that has helped more than 25 million customers to receive monies from their relatives living aboard.
