Nepal Chamber Expo Aims to Brand the Nepali Products

November 30: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) is organising Chamber Mela 2017 at Bhrikutimandap beginning from Thursday, November 30. The expo is being organised by NCC in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce as well as Trade and Export Promotion Centre. The five-day expo will conclude on December 4.

The expo will feature altogether 225 stalls from eight countries including Nepal, India, Thailand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, South Korea and Japan.

“This expo will help the businessmen to showcase their products and establish them as a brand,” said Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, president of NCC. The expo will have 23 stalls of automobile, electronics and cosmetics from South Korea and 15 stalls from Thailand. One of the main attractions of the expo are the Thai and Korean food stalls, the organisers said in a press conference on the eve of the event.

Tej Singh Bista, deputy director of Trade and Export Promotion Centre, said that the organisers are expecting around 300,000 visitors and transaction worth around Rs 2 billion during the five-day expo.
