February 21: Lumbini Bikas Bank has opened a branch at Dungedhara Chowk in Banasthali. The branch was relocated from New Road after the bank’s merger.  

Chinta Mani Bhattarai, member of the bank's board of directors, inaugurated the branch amid a function on Tuesday, February 20.  

According to the bank's CEO Jhalak Prasad Khanal, the branch will ease the transaction of the locals and entrepreneurs living in the area. He further said that the branch will be providing modern banking services in the coming days and will also expand its services in rural areas.

Currently, the bank has 60 branches, 12 ATM counters and has been providing various services like loan, deposit, ABBS, SMS banking, mobile banking  among others.
