The First Ever 'Capital Market Expo-2075' held on May 9-10

May 10: Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) organised the first edition of 'Capital Market Expo- 2075' at Brikutimandap, Kathmandu on May 9-10. The expo organised on the occasion of Sebon's 25th anniversary aims to disseminate information about primary and secondary market of securities. It also aims to provide detailed knowledge about the securities service and other related services, to deliver different kinds of study materials related to securities, according to advocate Nabaraj Pandit, an official at Sebon. He added that the expo would help to propagate information about the security market, security market management and its improvement.

Inaugurating the expo, Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada said that the government will bring the real sector under the ambit of the capital market.

"Since even microfinance companies with capital of Rs 10 million is listed in the capital market, big companies earning billion of rupees cannot be excluded from the capital market," said Khatiwada.

The expo was participated by the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr Chiranjibi Nepal, president of Sebon, Dr Rewat Bahadur Karki and other representatives of the Association of Chartered Accountants of Nepal. Around 150 stalls including stalls of Sebon, Insurance Board, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited, CDS and Clearing Ltd, merchant bankers, security brokers, banking and financial companies delivering ASBA service, listed big companies, software companies related to securities market, business media among others.
