May 23: Sarathi, a Kathmandu-based taxi service provider, has taken a noble initiative to provide better service to the passengers against the current trend of taxis tampering with the meter and bargaining for fare.

Cabs owned by Sarathi do not charge extra fare with passengers but follow the government guidelines while operating the taxis on meter, said Ravi Singhal, co-founder of Sarathi, during the last session of X-preneur organised by Clock B Business Innovations at Kaffee Codes, Thapathali on May 20.

“It was very difficult for us to gain the trust of the market when we first stepped into the market.  However, now the demand for Sarathi cab is getting very high among the people,” said Singhal.

“Sarathi cab has been beneficial to passengers as it gives ride to the passengers on meter rather than by bargaining. This initiation of ours has been helping us get very good feedback from many people who had to go through lot of bargaining to ride,” Singhal shared.

As a young entrepreneur, he also shared that the youths should learn about financial management since their student life to become a successful entrepreneur.
