NIC Asia starts 10-hour banking service

July 4: NIC Asia Bank with the motive of facilitating its account holders has extended its operating hours. The bank has started to operate 10 hours a day from Tuesday, July 3.  The bank said that 20 of its branches within and out of Kathmandu Valley are providing 10 hours of banking service. 

NIC Asia has extended its banking hours at a time when majority of the banks are operating only from 9 am to 3 pm.

Sudhir Nath Pandey, deputy CEO and spokesperson of NIC Asia Bank, informed that the bank has extended its operation hours with the aim to make its services more effective and customer-friendly.

According to Pandey, 20 branches of the bank will provide services between 9 am to 7 pm from Sunday to Thursday and 9 am to 5 pm on Friday.

A total of twenty branches ie ten located inside Kathmandu and ten outside the valley are currently providing 10-hour banking service per day.

The bank's branches at Tripureswar, Maharajgunj, Samakhusi, New Baneswar, Pulchowk, Thapathali, Thamel, Kamaladi, Bishalbazar and Khichapokhari within the valley are working extra hours since Tuesday.

Similarly, the branches in Birgunj, Narayanghat, Dharan, Biratnagar, Itahari, Pokhara, Butwal, Damak, Banke and Birtamode are also operating for 10 hours a day outside of Kathmandu.  

NIC Asia has been providing services across the country with its network of 224 branches, 218 ATMs, 14 extension counters and 11 branchless banking facilities.
