Mahindra launches Next Generation Mahindra Pik Up in Nepal

September 9:  Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd showcased its updated version of the next generation Mahindra Pik Up, an exclusive offering from the makers of Scorpio, amid an event in Kathmandu on September 7.
 
According to the company, Mahindra’s next generation Pik Up features refreshed outer body styling, new six speed transmission, increased turbo-diesel power of 103kw and an impressive towing capacity of 2500kg. The new Pik Up is an all-rounder vehicle with powerful, spacious and hi-tech offering for the new age, the company said in a statement.
 
“The turbo-diesel engine is linked to a six-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels, and will also be available with 4x4 transmission with low range, thus giving more power to the customers to drive through any terrain,” the statement said.
 
As the flagship model of the range, the company said that the S10 double cab has advanced features such as remote central locking, cruise control, navigation, auto climate control and a multifunction steering wheel.
 
“Strengthening our commitment to safety and comfort, it has ABS, EBD, dual airbags, collapsible steering column as standard features.  Static bending cornering lamp technology improves the comfort of driving during in night vision mode,” the statement further said.
 
According to the company, the vehicle offers SUV-like-feeling yet remains within the identity of the Mahindra Pik Up’s rugged and reliable legacy.
 
The company said that the next generation Mahindra Pik Up vehicles are made at the company’s state-of-the-art plant in Nasik, Maharashtra, India. These products will be available across the extensive network of Agni Incorporated in Nepal.
