Nepal Participates in ‘Maritime Silk Road Expo 2018’

November 1: Nepal participated in the 21st Century ‘Maritime Silk Road Expo 2018’ held in Guangdong Province of China from October 24 to 26.

A Nepali delegation led by Former Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha attended the event, which saw participation of more than 800 representatives from 46 countries.

The Nepali delegation comprised of Sunil Shakya, president of Pacific Asia Travel Association Nepal, and other officials from PATA.

Speaking at the event, President Shakya said that Nepal has immense opportunities for investment in the tourism sector. “Nepal needs huge investment for infrastructural development,” he said, urging the Chinese investors to invest in Nepal.
