The Muslim community across Nepal is celebrating Eid ul-Fitr on Monday, March 31, marking the end of Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.
The followers of Islam gathered early in the morning at various mosques for special prayers, with large congregations seen at the Kashmiri Jama Masjid in Ghanta Ghar, Kathmandu.
Eid ul-Fitr is one of the most significant festivals for Muslims, symbolizing the completion of a month-long fast (Roza) and a time of gratitude, charity, and communal harmony.
To facilitate the celebrations, the government has declared a public holiday on Monday.
