Ncell, a leading private sector telecommunications service provider in the country, said on Friday that it has not acquired shares of any internet service provider (ISP).
The clarification came after several media outlets published reports claiming that Ncell had purchased shares in Classic Tech, an ISP.
The news reports were speculative, said Ncell in a statement issued on Friday, urging the media outlets to reach out and verify the information before publishing matters related to it.
“While we are actively exploring opportunities in the broadband internet market, any future developments will arise from thorough discussions and evaluations,” the statement reads.
