President Ram Chandra Paudel has certified five bills passed by both houses of the federal parliament.
According to a press statement issued by Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, the spokesperson for the Office of the President, President Paudel on Monday certified the bills in accordance with Article 113(2) of the Constitution.
The certified bills, which now become law, include the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to the Promotion of Good Governance and Delivery of Public Services, 2081; the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Cooperatives, 2081; the Economic Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Bill, 2081; the Privatization (First Amendment) Bill, 2081; and the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Improving the Economic and Business Environment and Promoting Investment, 2081.
These bills were introduced by the government as replacements for ordinances on the same subjects and were passed by both houses of parliament earlier on Monday. -- RSS
