President Ramchandra Paudel will present the government’s policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year, 2025/26, in a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, May 2.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire at Tuesday’s meeting of the Lower Houser read out a formal notification from the Office of the President, announcing the schedule.
As per Article 95 of the Constitution of Nepal, the President is required to present the government's annual policies and programmes before a joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament.
Speaker Ghimire has urged all the lawmakers to arrive at the chamber in the prescribed dress code by 2:45 PM on Friday.
