Hotel Radisson organized Oktoberfest Nepal 2013 on 4thand 5th October. Oktoberfest is the world’s largest fair held annually in Bavaria, Germany and is celebrated all over the world. The event at Radisson was followed by a musical evening on 6th of October 2013, which was one of a kind event displaying Bavarian culture.
The first day started off with famous German band Tonihof Buam embracing the event with their traditional tunes along with traditional musical instruments. The Oktoberfest song was the unanimous tune for the whole evening. A Nepali band called Sign Band performed on the second day along with the German Band and entertained the guests. On the last day, the German band was accompanied by popular Nepali Band Kutumba. They shared the same stage for the fusion of German traditional music and Nepali traditional tunes.
The major attractions of the three-day event were the guests who attended the fest in traditional German attire and performed Bavarian dance throughout the program. As per the culture of Oktoberfest, people enjoyed huge quantities of beer along with authentic German cuisine. The German dishes were prepared by specially appointed German chef.
